1. Why have you made changes to the way you operate the sites?

Public safety is our priority, and additional measures have been put in place to reduce the risk of transmission of Covid-19.  We have worked with all the HWS contractors to try to make your visit as safe as possible.

If you do need to visit the HWS you should expect to queue and you may be asked to leave and return another day.

2. If I see something I like at the HWS, can I take it home?

No, in order to reduce the risk of spreading Covid-19, the sites are just for the disposal of waste at the moment, no reuse is allowed. No items should be removed from the site and taken home.

3. Are the sites open for domestic and commercial use?

The sites are open for domestic waste only. Trade/ Commercial Waste is not permitted to be taken to any of the HWS. This hasn’t changed.

4. Some of the neighbouring local authorities are using a booking system – why haven’t you chosen this way of reopening?

We have considered many options and consider that there are pros and cons with each system. We do not feel that a booking system would be appropriate in Ceredigion at this time. This may be reviewed.

5. Is there a limit to how many times a resident can visit the HWS in a month? Is there a limit to how many time the same vehicle can visit a HWS on the same day?

There is no limit to the number of times you can use a site as long as the waste is domestic waste, and you follow the site rules.
