Initial engagement with practitioners has confirmed a limited awareness of the implications of the mandatory licensing scheme to be introduced as part of the Public Health (Wales) Act 2017.
The mandatory licensing scheme will provide a level playing field for practitioners operating in Wales and will ensure a more consistent and robust approach to enforcement. This in turn will help minimize health risks associated with these practices.
