The Gwobrau Caru Ceredigion Awards 2026 is a celebration of the very best of our communities and businesses.
The Caru Ceredigion Awards 2026, which will be held on the 10th of December at the Feathers Hotel, Aberaeron will recognise the outstanding contributions and achievements of businesses, community projects and individuals from across the county.
Entries for the awards are now open.
Set in one of the most beautiful and unique locations in the country, there is fantastic work currently taking place in Ceredigion, and this should be rightly celebrated. We look forward to recognising the ground-breaking, innovative and inspirational work of our residents and businesses, while helping boost a spirit of collaboration and community pride.

How to apply
The categories of the awards are listed below, along with a brief description. Click on the individual links for more information about the category, as well as the award application form. Paper applications can also be submitted, please email gwobrauceredigion@technegol.co.uk for more information on this.
The closing date for applications is midnight, Friday 16th of October, 2026.
To be eligible for any category, communities and businesses must be operating or have a physical location in Ceredigion, with any relevant activities forming part of your application taking place between 1st November 2025 and 1st December 2026.

Community Organisation Award
This award is open to any community group in Ceredigion such as youth groups, Community Councils, sports clubs, village hall committees, and community interest groups who have made a difference by being innovative and have made an impact by doing things differently.

Caru Ceredigion Inspiration Award
This award aims to recognise young individuals in business who have gone the extra mile to make a difference in their local community through business.

Event of the Year Award
This award is open to organisations/businesses/individuals who have organised an event in Ceredigion in 2026 which has had a wider impact on the county, by attracting more visitors to the area, having a positive economic impact and raising Ceredigion's profile.

Young Entrepreneur Award
The aim of this award is to recognise young individuals who have demonstrated the desire to succeed with their own ideas and have the ambition to turn those ideas into a successful business. This award is open to individuals aged 30 and under.

An award that reflects that a bright future is possible with a good job in our communities in Ceredigion.

Discover Ceredigion Award
This award is open to Ceredigion businesses in the tourism and hospitality sector who have been successful in promoting the tourism industry within the County. This includes an exceptional commitment to providing an excellent experience for visitors, tourists or business travellers.

Agri-Food Award
This award is open to businesses which produce food and operate in the food or agriculture sector in Ceredigion. Applicants should be able to demonstrate how their business has made a positive contribution to the local economy and/or the community.

Pathway to Success Award
This award recognises an individual who has excelled in an apprenticeship or training programme with a business or organisation based in Ceredigion and who has been outstanding in all aspects of training. It can also be submitted to a company, employer or organisation that offers a programme of excellent training or provides support to develop professionally in a particular field or industry.

Innovation and Technology Award
This award is a brand new award which recognises businesses in Ceredigion who have shown excellence in innovation and the creative use of technology or software to develop their business, products, services or work processes.

This award is open to retail businesses based in Ceredigion that demonstrate a positive impact on the environment, local economy, and/or community.

This award recognises Ceredigion businesses or enterprises that have helped put Ceredigion on the map, and that have helped raise the profile of the county outside of Wales.
