This is the Council’s third strategy for procurement and it aims to build on the previous ones.
The Council’s vision for procurement is to achieve value for money through the effective procurement of its service requirements, and to demonstrate continuous improvement in its procurement activity.
The Council’s Strategic objectives for procurement are that it should:
- Support the Council’s broader corporate goals
- Focus on what customers and clients need
- Embrace the wider national agenda for improvement
- Make use of e-procurement technology
- Manage risk effectively
