How to Apply to Become an Approved Premises

Approved Premises means a venue or building that has been granted a licence for the solemnisation of civil marriages and the registration of civil partnerships.

If you are interested in becoming an Approved Premises, please email the Ceredigion Registration Service on registrar@ceredigion.gov.uk to request an application pack.

Detailed information regarding the application procedure, requirements and suitability of premises are set out within the application pack.

The Ceredigion Registration Service welcomes applications from all types of premises. However, not all venues are capable of being licensed for civil marriages and civil partnerships. It is unlikely that a private dwelling house would be deemed an appropriate venue capable of meeting all the licensing criteria.

 

Please note - Venues wishing to apply to become an Approved Premises should not advertise or take bookings for any civil marriage and civil partnership ceremony until the application is completed and an Approved Premises licence has been granted.
