A Ukrainian refugee, Hanna, who has settled in Ceredigion has received support from Communities for Work+ team, which is funded by Welsh Government.

Hanna has undertaken several different roles in the past but her most recent was home-based manicurist, whilst living in Ukraine and Latvia.

Hanna was offered a trial day at a local nail salon in Aberystwyth and expressed her interest in continuing her career as a nail technician. However, to continue working as a nail technician in the UK, she had to complete a UK qualification.

After several 1:1 meeting, phone calls and emails with her mentor Delor, Hanna was supported with funds to cover the cost of the qualification as well as travelling costs to attend the course.

With funding and support from the CFW+ team through Welsh Government, Hanna was able to complete her qualification and has since secured a part time role at Diva Nail Designs in Aberystwyth.
