2025 Engagement and Participation Policy
This consultation will close 20 January 2026.
During the summer of 2025 we gathered people’s views about the way that we engage and consult now. Your feedback helped develop a revised Engagement and Participation policy.

Original engagement
We are revising our current Engagement and Participation Policy and we want your views about what should be included in the updated policy.
Everyone who lives or works in Ceredigion will make use of some council services, including its staff. These could be the roads, schools, libraries or bin collections. It is important that we ask for your views when we make changes to the way that we do things.
Our Engagement and Participation Policy sets out how we listen to your views and ensure your voice helps shape what we do. You can read our current policy "Talking, Listening and Working Together" on the council website.
Help Shape How We Connect With You
Whether you’ve attended a community meeting, responded to a survey, or simply followed us on social media - or even if you haven’t engaged with us at all - your feedback is valuable. This is your opportunity to help shape how your local authority engages, listens, and responds to the people it serves.
You can take part by:
- completing our online survey
- attending one of our hybrid focus groups (details below)
- filling in a paper survey in our local libraries and leisure centres
We are running several hybrid focus groups across the county. You can attend face to face or join us online.
The events will take place in
- Penmorfa, Aberaeron - 15th July 12:30 - 14:00
- Canolfan Rheidol, Aberystwyth - 17th July 12:30 - 14:00
- Morgan Street, Cardigan - 24th July 12:30 - 14:00
To register complete this online form or phone Carys Huntly on 07977636596.
The engagement will run for an 8-week period from Friday 4th July 2025 to Sunday 31st August 2025.
Your responses will help us write the draft policy and we will be coming back out to ask your views on this draft later this year.
