The Council formally adopted the Ceredigion LDP on the 25th April 2013. The plan runs from 2007 up to 2022. The fifth AMR (31st March 2017 - 31st March 2018) was submitted to the Welsh Government on 31 October 2018.

Section 76 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 requires local planning authorities to monitor the implementation of their Adopted Local Development Plan (LDPs) by preparing an Annual Monitoring Report (AMR) that is to be submitted to the Welsh Government (WG) by the end of October each year.

An AMR is required to include:

  • A review of changes to national and regional policy and guidance and their implications for the LDP
  • LDP Monitoring based on the LDP Monitoring Framework (LDP Appendix 3), which include Statutory Indicators
  • SEA/SA Monitoring based on the SEA/SA Monitoring Framework
  • Recommendations on the course of action in respect of policies and the LDP as a whole, if required.
