Chair marks end of term with support for Wales Air Ambulance
As her term as Chair comes to an end, Councillor Ann Bowen Morgan, Chair of Ceredigion County Council, marked the occasion by hosting a Civic Service on 8 March 2026.
The service brought together members of the community to reflect on her time in the role, while also supporting the Chair’s chosen charity, the Wales Air Ambulance Charity. A collection held during the service raised a total of £1,000.
The Wales Air Ambulance Charity provides vital emergency air ambulance services across Wales, delivering advanced medical care to people in need, often in rural and hard‑to‑reach locations.
The funds were formally presented on 13 April, when the Chair, Councillor Ann Bowen Morgan, presented a cheque to Emily Bell, a representative of the Wales Air Ambulance Charity. The presentation highlighted both the success of the fundraising effort and the importance of supporting lifesaving services across Wales.
Emily Bell the Charity’s Fundraising Coordinator, said: “On behalf of the Wales Air Ambulance, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Councillor Ann Bowen Morgan for choosing us as her Charity of the Year, and to everyone who supported the Civic Service. The generosity shown will make a real difference to our ability to deliver lifesaving, advanced medical care to the communities of Ceredigion and right across Wales. As our Charity marks its 25th anniversary in 2026, we are incredibly grateful for this support, which helps ensure we can continue to be there for those who need us most.”
Speaking about her decision to support the charity, the Chair, Councillor Ann Bowen Morgan, said: “I chose the Wales Air Ambulance Charity because of the vital role it plays in responding to emergencies across Wales. The service provides rapid, specialist care in some of the most challenging circumstances, and relies entirely on public donations to continue its lifesaving work.”
The Chair expressed sincere thanks to everyone who supported the Civic Service and contributed to the collection, helping to make a meaningful difference to the work of the Wales Air Ambulance Charity.
The funds raised will go directly towards supporting the charity’s ongoing work across communities throughout Wales.
