Ceredigion Library Service launches new 21 book challenge for adults
Ceredigion Library Service has launched an exciting new reading initiative, the 21 Book Challenge, designed to encourage adults to discover new books and experience the pleasure of reading.
The challenge is available at all six libraries across the county, as well as through the mobile library service. Taking part is simple: readers can collect a challenge card from their local library, choose books from a variety of categories, and start reading.
The categories are varied and fun, ranging from "A Book with a Red Cover" to a "Celebrity Memoir", along with many others designed to inspire readers to try something different.
The aim of the challenge is to read 21 books within a year, in any order participants choose. To celebrate their achievements, readers will receive a reward after completing 7, 14, and 21 books.
The main aims of the challenge are to encourage adults to read more widely, explore different genres and authors, and discover the enjoyment and benefits of reading for pleasure.
Councillor Catrin M S Davies, Ceredigion County Council Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Customer Services, said: "Our libraries are at the heart of our communities, inspiring people to read, to enjoy and to share the enjoyment. The 21 Book Challenge is a great way to inspire us to re-engage in the pleasure of reading and try something new. I hope as many as possible will accept the challenge and enjoy it!"
Rewards are available while stocks last.
