Following a public consultation exercise, Ceredigion County Council’s Cabinet decided to keep the Household Waste Site at Rhydeinon, near Llanarth open, with changes to the opening hours.

The Household Waste Site at Rhydeinon near Llanarth will close on Friday, 30 November 2018 at 17:00 for alternations to the site to take place. The Site will reopen on Wednesday, 05 December 2018 at 10:00 under the new opening hours.

The new opening hours operational from Wednesday, 05 December 2018 are:
• Monday: Closed
• Tuesday: Closed
• Wednesday: 10:00 – 17:00
• Thursday: Closed
• Friday: Closed
• Saturday: 10:00 – 17:00
• Sunday: 10:00 – 17:00

Councillor Dafydd Edwards, Cabinet Member for Environmental Services including Waste noted, “The Council needs to strike a difficult balance between maintaining valuable services for residents and managing the severe financial pressures to Council budgets. This decision reflects a compromise between these two opposing priorities. Residents are encouraged to deal with their waste responsibly and use the site appropriately.”
