Final Recommendations
Democracy and Boundary Commission Cymru (the Commission) has published its Final Recommendations for the future community arrangements for the County of Ceredigion.

The Order required to implement the changes will come into force on 6 May 2027.
This consultation ended on 13/05/2024.
The responses to this consultation are currently being reviewed.

Consultation on Draft Proposals
The Commission is undertaking a Community Review of the Ceredigion Principal Council area, and has published its Draft Proposals.
At this stage of the review the Commission asks all interested parties to consider the Draft Proposals (see link below) and submit their views on any changes required to create communities that provide for effective and convenient local government.
All submissions will then be considered, and the Commission will publish a Final Recommendations report or Further Draft Report (and will hold a consultation on those proposals if a further draft report is published).
Final Recommendations will be submitted to Welsh Government Ministers.
Welsh Government will then, if it thinks fit, give effect to these recommendations either as submitted, or with modifications.

The Local Democracy and Boundary Commission is undertaking a Community Review of the Ceredigion Principal Council area, on behalf of Ceredigion County Council.
