Presented by Clwb Ifor Bach and Maes B, ‘Merched Yn Neud Miwsig’(Girls making music), is coming back to Aberystwyth and will hold a gig in Ceredigion Museum on 6 April.

Post-punk trio, Adwaith will be headlining, with the multi-talented Ani Glass opening the evening of music. This is a great chance to enjoy live music by some of the leading artists in Wales at the moment.

Guto Brychan, Maes B organiser, said, “There’s been a concern about the lack of women in the scene for a while, and we felt we had a part to play to encourage change. This is the first event of its kind, and the aim is to try and increase the current pool of female artists and bands available to play on Wales’ music stages, to inspire young women to follow in the footsteps of great bands such as Serol Serol and Adwaith and have the courage to form their own bands.”

Prior to the gig at Ceredigion Museum, the ‘Merched Yn Neud Miwsig’ workshop will be held in Arad Goch on 6 April, between 10am and 4pm.

Carrie Canham, Ceredigion Museum Curator said, “It’s fantastic that the museum has this opportunity to welcome back Adwaith to Aberystywth. 2019 is looking to be a busy year for them, so don’t miss this chance to enjoy theirs and Ani’s outstanding performance.”

Tickets are £10 (Earlybird £8) and are available from Ceredigion Museum and clwb.net. Doors open at 7pm. 16years+. Visit www.ceredigionmuseum.wales for more information.
