Due to the ongoing threat of infection from coronavirus (Covid-19), and the vulnerability of the service users that attend the Council’s Day Centres, a decision has been made to close the day service for the time being.
The decision to close the day service at the Council’s Day Centres was a difficult but necessary one to make. The health and safety of our service users and staff are our main priority and we don’t want to put them in any unnecessary risk. We wish to reassure the service users and their families that the service will return to normal once we are able to do so.
Any service user who has needs that are deemed to be critical based on their assessment will continue to receive appropriate support at home during this period. A member of staff will be in contact with the service users to discuss this further.

The day service will close at the end of the day on Friday, 13 March 2020 until it is deemed safe to reopen.
