The roll out of the new waste collection service in Ceredigion is nearing successful completion. As part of the roll out, the popular online postcode finder has been refreshed and is now available to view via the council’s website www.ceredigion.gov.uk.

As well as providing information on the next scheduled collections of the different types of waste, there is a waste calendar relevant to your route.

Also available is a link to the waste collection disruption information page. This provides details on any routes which are affected on any given day, the reasons why and what the advice to residents is.

Councillor Dafydd Edwards, the Cabinet Member with responsibility for Highways and Environmental Services together with Housing said, “All efforts are made to provide scheduled waste collections as advertised. Unfortunately, but inevitably, our ability to achieve this can be affected by a variety of reasons and this is especially true during public holidays and any periods of wintry weather.

“In response, we are putting in place a number of ways of sharing timely and useful information with the public regarding waste collections.

I hope that everybody has a great time over the holiday period and that they remember to make full use of the waste services provided by the council. This is to ensure it is dealt with in the best possible way from an environmental and financial viewpoint.

I would also like to take the opportunity to extend a sincere thank you to those staff who will be working during the holiday period.”
