Ceredigion Ifanc is now on TikTok
Porth Cymorth Cynnar, the Early Help and Prevention function within the Ceredigion Through Age Wellbeing Support and Care model, has launched its new TikTok account.

The account is a joint initiative between the Youth Service, Ceredigion Actif, the Carers and Community Support Team, and the Parenting and Family Support Team. It will showcase content that highlights the Council’s work supporting children, young people, and families across Ceredigion.
The launch follows insights gathered by the Youth Service in partnership with Promo Cymru through its Life Online report, which emphasised the importance of engaging young people on the digital platforms they use most. By establishing a presence on TikTok, Porth Cymorth Cynnar aims to create a safe, welcoming space where young people and their families can access information, opportunities, and support.
Councillor Alun Williams, Deputy Leader and Ceredigion Cabinet Member for Through Age and Wellbeing, said: “TikTok is one of the most widely used platforms among young people, and launching this account means we can communicate with them in a way that feels natural, accessible, and relevant. This collaborative approach celebrates the fantastic work happening across our services while making support more visible to the communities who benefit from it most.”
A 14‑year‑old young person from the Youth Service said: "I think the TikTok channel is a really good idea. Most of us don’t usually check websites or posters, but we’re on TikTok all the time, so it actually helps us see what’s happening and get involved."
Why TikTok?
- Better engagement with our core demographic
- Peer‑ and youth‑led communication opportunities
- Improved visibility of local support and services
- Proactive digital safeguarding measures
- A powerful tool for building community awareness
The account will feature youth‑friendly content such as event highlights, behind‑the‑scenes footage, opportunities, advice, and youth‑led messages designed to inform and inspire young people across the county.
All activity on the platform will follow Ceredigion County Council’s digital safeguarding policies, ensuring the account remains a safe, moderated, and positive online environment.
