An opportunity to learn more about what’s to come at Llettytwppa
There will be an opportunity for community members, prospective learners and anyone with an interest in the development of Llettytwppa Farm to join the next open day to hear about the farm's plans and the apprenticeship courses that will be offered there.
The open day will take place on Friday, 06 March 2026, between 10:00 and 15:00.
The open day follows a very positive engagement evening and two successful open days held in December last year for 160 Year 10 to 13 pupils in Ceredigion schools.
This open day will be an opportunity for anyone interested in taking courses related to the agricultural and rural sector to learn more about the opportunities that will be available to them. A representation of businesses and organisations involved in the sector will be present to provide activities, exhibitions, advice and support throughout the day.
From September 2026, Hyfforddiant Ceredigion Training will offer two levels of agricultural apprenticeships at Llettytwppa Farm, a Level 2 Foundation Apprenticeship and a Level 3 Apprenticeship.
During the open day, practical sessions will be held, including fencing, making a poker with a gas furnace, maintenance tasks such as re-roofing, installing water pipes, making brake hoses, and a soldering task.
Councillor Bryan Davies, Leader of Ceredigion County Council, said: "I would encourage anyone interested in taking level 2 or 3 apprenticeship courses in the future to pop into Llettytwppa farm during our open day to find out more about the opportunities available. We would also like to invite families of the prospective learners, friends, organisations, businesses, and the wider community too. Llettytwppa farm will play a key role in developing the skills people need to stay in their communities to learn, live and succeed."
