Young People’s Photography Competition to celebrate Youth Work Week 2025

Youth Work Week in Wales will take place between 23 and 30 June 2025. It is an opportunity to showcase and celebrate the impact and diversity of Youth Work across Wales.

Ceredigion Youth Services will be celebrating with a variety of activities during the week and are launching a photography competition that aims to encourage young people’s creative talents.

The competition is open to anyone aged between 11 and 25 and living in Ceredigion. The winner will receive a £50 gift voucher and certificate.

Photos can include anything that the photographer enjoys about their local area, with a theme of ‘my local community’. Photos can include but are not limited to local landmarks, scenery, architecture or nature. Photos should not include images of faces / or something that makes a person identifiable.

Each entry should include young person’s name, age, school / educational setting and contact details.

The winning entry will be selected by a panel of young people.

Councillor Wyn Thomas, Ceredigion's Cabinet Member for Schools, Lifelong Learning and Skills, said: “This is a great opportunity to see Ceredigion’s communities through the eyes of the young people of the county. I am looking forward to seeing the entries and good luck to all applicants.”

Closing date is 18 June 2025, and winners will be announced on 30 June 2025.

Young people can submit their entries by e-mail to porthcymorthcynnat@ceredigion.gov.uk.

Young people can also submit their entries directly to their Youth Workers (there is a designated Youth Worker at each Ceredigion Secondary School).
