Lampeter Swimming Pool to close temporarily due to essential repair works
Lampeter swimming pool will temporarily close in the summer to undergo essential works to improve the facility.
Work will be carried out from 7 July until 11 August 2025 to upgrade the water treatment equipment within the swimming pool’s plant room in an investment worth over £140,000.
The works have been scheduled to minimise the disruption to users, with the aim of reopening for the majority of the school summer Holidays. Lampeter Wellbeing Centre will be unaffected by the works.
Councillor Catrin M S Davies, Ceredigion Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Customer Services, said: “Lampeter Swimming Pool is popular among people of all ages across mid Ceredigion. The pool, which is 50 years old, is an extremely important resource, and to enhance the facilities offered, it is necessary to close temporarily. We hope these works doesn’t cause too much inconvenience to users.”
The works have been supported by investment from Ceredigion County Council; the Welsh Government through Sport Wales; the UK Government through the UK Shared prosperity fund administered and supported by Cynnal y Cardi for Ceredigion County Council
The Council would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding as we aim to improve people's experiences at Lampeter Swimming Pool.
