Ceredigion County Council celebrates Youth Work Week 2024

This year, Youth Work Week is celebrated from 23 - 30 June 2024. It is an opportunity to celebrate the positive stories and successes from the last 12 months, highlighting the innovation, resilience and resourcefulness that the sector has shown during the last year.

During Youth Work Week, the Youth Work Sector are highlighting their success stories on social media and recognising the contributions that all those working in Youth Work Services have made to young people and communities. There are opportunities for young people to take part in various activities, workshops and competitions to celebrate the week.

This year’s Youth Work Week is based around the theme "Why Youth Work?”, where there’s an opportunity to highlight achievements, show recognition to those working in the sector through organisations, local authorities, practitioners, youth clubs, leaders, and, of course, young people.
A Ceredigion County Council spokesperson said: “As we commence Youth Work Week 2024, we take pride in celebrating the remarkable achievements of the past year. The Youth Work Sector, particularly our dedicated team within the Council, has consistently demonstrated unwavering innovation, resilience, and resourcefulness. Even amidst challenging circumstances, they have tirelessly supported young people and communities. Through social media, we’ll spotlight their success stories and recognise their invaluable contributions. Let’s honour the commitment of our Youth Work team, who work tirelessly to empower and uplift our youth.”
Each day of Youth Work Week, we are focusing on showing recognition to these achievements. Keep an eye out for details on @YouthWorkinWales or @IeuenctidCymru on X (previously Twitter).
