Maisie, a year 5 student from Ysgol Bro Sion Cwilt got creative during the lockdown period through creating embroidered items depicting elements of the lockdown period. Maisie planned and made the creations with the help of her Auntie.
Each creation tells a story; Maisie asked members of her community to be part of the project by providing some verses about lockdown. These contributions were added together with all the names of the pupils and staff.
The items will be displayed inside the school to celebrate the bravery of the NHS and key workers and to thank pupils and the staff for staying at home during this period. In addition to the display, Maisie has designed a new smile logo which will now feature on the school’s aprons and staff clothing.
