A third Members’ Workshop was held to discuss boosting the economy in Ceredigion on Friday, 14 December 2018.

With an introduction and background to Growing Mid Wales by Ceredigion County Council Chief Executive, Eifion Evans, Ceredigion’s Economic Future Members Workshop proceeded to discuss partnership working with partners from the public and private sector.

Four varied organisations were in attendance talking about future investment opportunities and outlining plans for growth in the county.

Councillor Ellen ap Gwynn, Chair of the Growing Mid Wales Partnership and Ceredigion County Council Leader, said, “We are always pleased to hear from businesses within the county or from those who would like to expand here. We are fortunate to have developments in the pipeline for the future. We look forward to developing a relationship with both public and private sector businesses in order to promote the growth of the economy here in Ceredigion.”

One of the council’s Corporate Priorities is ‘Boosting the Economy’. This is aimed at growing the economy and responding to the opportunities coming from both the Welsh Government and the United Kingdom Government. Ceredigion is developing the Growing Mid Wales Partnership. This Workshop demonstrated the type of major projects and schemes that could benefit Ceredigion and Mid Wales.
