As Councillor Lynford Thomas’s year as Chairman of Ceredigion County Council for 2017-2018 drew to a close, the Chairman’s Annual Dinner was held. During the evening, donations were received supporting the charity of the Chair’s choice, which was DASH Ceredigion.
DASH Ceredigion is a charity that provides leisure schemes for disabled people and young people in Ceredigion.
Councillor Lynford Thomas presented a cheque for £410 for DASH Ceredigion and said, "It is a pleasure to present this money to a very worthy charity. DASH Ceredigion has been providing an important service that has enabled many local disabled children and their families with a better quality of life."
On being presented with the cheque, Jo Kennaugh, DASH Manager, said, “I was so heartened to find out that the Chairman had chosen to donate to DASH Ceredigion and wish to thank Councillor Lynford Thomas for choosing our charity. We run a number of schemes for disabled children and young people, including playschemes, activity days, a mobile youth club, away weekends, volunteering opportunities and engagement projects aimed to develop confidence and independence. Donations can help ensure that we can continue to make a positive difference to the lives of families in Ceredigion.”
