This is an open call for applications. The deadline for submitting applications is 30 June 2026, and all funded works must be completed by 31 January 2027.

Should you wish to apply for the scheme, please complete the Register of Interest form. If you are eligible, you will then receive an application form to complete.

The Aberystwyth Townscape Scheme is a discretionary grant, subject to assessment for value for money and approval by Ceredigion County Council. Applications are reviewed monthly by an assessment panel.

Important: Applications must be fully completed before they are presented to the panel. This includes confirmation of all essential requirements such as match funding, listed building consent (where applicable), and planning permission (where applicable). Incomplete applications will not be progressed.

If the scheme becomes oversubscribed, eligible applications will be prioritised on a first come, first served basis.

Applicants will be notified of the panel’s decision by email within 14 days of the assessment meeting.

Successful applicants must obtain all necessary consents and comply with all relevant legislation and codes of practice, including health and safety regulations.

Funding will not be paid for retrospective works and Ceredigion County Council reserves the right to reject any application.

When submitting cost information, applicants must provide total project costs, including clear details on whether VAT is applicable. This ensures that the correct grant value can be calculated.
