Caru'ch Cymuned 2025

Entries are now open for a new category at the Caru Ceredigion Awards 2025.

The Caru’ch Cymuned award will recognise and celebrate the work of town and village communities across Ceredigion in keeping their community tidy, arranging events and providing services to the people of the area. Communities large and small are being encouraged to enter.

The Caru’ch Cymuned campaign is aimed at fostering and celebrating a sense of pride in communities across the county, while encouraging people to take part in activities and initiatives that enhance the environment, support local businesses, and strengthen community cohesion and resilience.

There are three categories in the competition for 2025 Awards.

Small village Villages which have fewer than 5 amenities
Village Individual villages, a specified area within a community or Town Council area which has 5 amenities or more
Town The towns of Aberaeron, Cardigan, Aberystwyth, New Quay, Lampeter, Llandysul and Tregaron. i.e. towns with a Place Plan

Applicants are required to submit the Expression of Interest Form before submitting a Full Application Form.

The deadline for submitting the Expression of Interest Form is Monday, 7th of July 2025 at 23:59.

The deadline to submit the Full Application Form is Monday, 8th of September 2025 at 23:59. Remember to read the Guidance Notes before starting work on the Application Form.

Judging will take place in September and October 2025 by a panel of expert judges with the shortlist announced ahead of the winners being unveiled at the ceremony on 11 of December 2025.
