Cered: Menter Iaith Ceredigion arranged a Minecraft master class which was held at Theatr Felinfach for the winners of the 2019 Minecraft competition held last month.

Rhodri Francis, Cered Development Officer, said, “It was a very successful day with everyone enjoying themselves. The purpose of holding such sessions is that we provide opportunities for all young people through popular initiatives such as Minecraft to encourage the use of the Welsh language outside of school.”

The winners of the competition were Taylor Lewis, Cai Allan, Kondrad Syguda and Dwylan Jenkins who are all pupils at Ysgol Bro Pedr. One of the boys said, “The competition and also today's session has given me more confidence to do more things in Welsh.”

Cered will be organising similar activities through the medium of Welsh in the near future, so keep an eye out. For more information about the work Cered, contact the office on 01545 572350 or by e-mail at cered@ceredigion.gov.uk
