The landslip on the B4459 between Capel Dewi and Llanfihangel-ar-arth has now been cleared, and the road is open to traffic.

Pont Llechryd Bridge has been closed for the foreseeable future due to safety concerns. Closure and diversion signs are in place.

  • Llechryd bridge has re-opened.
  • Coedmore Road / U5104, which runs parallel to the Teifi, remains closed due to the road being flooded.
  • B4459 remains closed between Capel Dewi and Llanfihangel-ar-arth due to landslide.

  • The A484 through Llechryd has now opened to traffic. Llechryd bridge remains closed to traffic, but river levels are decreasing.
  • The B4333 road at Aberporth is now open.
  • The B4459 is still closed between Capel Dewi - Llanfihangel-ar-arth due to a landslide. Team are presently on site clearing the debris and we hope to get the road open tomorrow morning (18.02.2020).

The B4337 at Talsarn has re-opened.

There has been significant rainfall and river levels have risen overnight. There are flood warnings in place covering the Aeron and Teifi Rivers, and we have crews out dealing with blocked gullies and flooding. The situation is expected to improve, but driving conditions will remain challenging. Residents are advised to monitor the forecasts.

The following roads are closed in Ceredigion

  • A484 at Llechryd
  • B4333 at Aberporth
  • B4337 at Talsarn.

Storm Dennis is expected to bring wet and windy conditions across Wales this weekend, with persistent and heavy rain forecast on Saturday and Sunday.

A yellow warning for wind covering Wales, and an Amber rain warning covering parts of Ceredigion have been issued, and surface water flooding is likely.

Residents are advised to monitor the forecasts.

Additional crews have been placed on standby in order to enable the Council to react to any calls in relation to fallen trees and/or flooding as a result of the storm.
