Building work on the extension that will house the primary school section extension of Ysgol Henry Richard will not be completed by the start of the new term.
Ceredigion County Council has been informed by the contractor building the Henry Richard extension that the building work will not be completed by 04 September 2018. Primary age pupils will now move into the new site on 01 October 2018. Ysgol Henry Richard pupils of primary school age will instead return to the Llanddewi and Tregaron primary campuses in the meantime.
Councillor Catherine Hughes, Chair of the Governors said, “We will be co-operating to ensure stability for pupils during this short period of delay and greatly anticipate the joining of every campus in an extension of the highest quality on 01 October 2018.”
The Council is continuing to work closely with the contractor during this period. The school has written to the parents and guardians of the children affected by the delay.
