Residents across Ceredigion are being asked, through an engagement campaign, how the Council can give them a voice in strengthening communities and shaping future services.

‘Help us to Help You’ is asking people to watch a short information video before answering a few questions. The responses given will help shape Ceredigion County Council’s future approach to service delivery. The Council will ask residents later on in the year about specific changes as they arise.

The information video gives some background and context to the work of the Council and the challenges it faces. It also gives an insight into its future delivery approach that is shaped by the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015.

Councillor Ellen ap Gwynn, Leader of Ceredigion County Council said, “In developing our services we must focus more on the long-term, work more effectively with individuals and our communities and with other organisations. We must also try harder to prevent problems arising and take a more joined-up approach to what we do. This ongoing conversation is an opportunity for us to know how we can give you a voice in strengthening our communities and shaping our future services. I would be very grateful if you would be prepared to participate in the campaign in order that we can hear from as many residents as possible.”

All the information is available on the Council's website by visiting the 'Consultations' page on www.ceredigion.gov.uk. Individuals are welcome to contact 01545 570881 if they would like to receive the information in another format or for a paper copy of the survey. The conversation is open for comments for an unlimited period.
