There are 3 hours per week, which can be worked flexibly between us over one or two days, around the two days per week we travel to London.

During school terms, we would like you to pick our son up from school on Mondays at 3.30, take him to the leisure centre or to other activities, and drop him home after. When going swimming, you are required to assist in the changing room and prompt him to go to the toilet. He is toilet trained but if he has an accident, you will be required to carry out some personal care.

We prepare food in a lunchbox and there is always plenty of food at home if you return home early. Dry snacks such as crisps and cookies are preferred; he can communicate his needs very well and will ask if he wants anything.

I am a mother of 3 and have been blind from birth. I also suffer with what specialists call "complex partial" epilepsy: not pleasant for me, but not dangerous either!

I consider myself to be friendly, loving, sociable and outgoing and try to take life as it comes. I am a massive music lover, right across the decades/genres, (I am the biggest Freddie Mercury fan in Britain)!!! But I currently need some gentle encouragement and motivation to pick up new hobbies and pass-times, because of depression/anxiety, which is taking over my life. My son is currently resident in S/Wales, and is sadly likely to remain there for the foreseeable future.

The work will take place locally, although we may need to take an extended day out, occasionally, to visit my son when my other PA is not available. I also visit my parents in Port Talbot and to other destinations that may require long distance travel, but again, only when my existing PA is not available. If travelling to Port Talbot, I stay at my parents for 5 hours – During this time, you are free to spend the time as you wish. This time is paid for.

I then need picking up from my parents’ house at 3.30 and transporting back to my home.

I believe in trying to make the most of what life has to offer, in spite of the many obstacles it leaves in my way, although I'd be lying if I said I didn't get very down sometimes, and might well need your inspiration/encouragement to get motivated, or sometimes to even get my day started, if I am feeling that down.
