On Monday 1 October, Ysgol Henry Richard welcomed the primary section to the school, following the completion of the extension section of the school. It includes a new primary school building and refurbishment of the secondary section building.

Ysgol Henry Richard now provides education to pupils from three to 16 years old in one location. 126 primary age children attend the school.

Dorian Pugh, Ysgol Henry Richard’s Headteacher, said, “We’re very excited and very happy to have all the pupils between three to 16 in one location. The facilities are fantastic and provide innovative opportunities for the pupils of the area.”

Councillor Catrin Miles, Cabinet Member for Learning Services and Lifelong Learning said, “The new primary school build is a fantastic development for the education of the pupils of Tregaron and surrounding areas for years to come. On behalf of Ceredigion County Council, I wish to congratulate and thank all the hard work and dedication of the school’s staff, who’ve ensured the smooth transition for both teachers and pupils to their new location at Ysgol Henry Richard.”
