She said, “Being treated fairly and with respect is relevant to all of us and to our families and friends. We need to revise our Strategic Equality Plan for 2020-24. The plan sets out how we will make sure our actions are fair to all. Take a look at our draft plan as your feedback and comments will help us to draw up our final version of ‘A Fair and Equal Ceredigion’.”

The plan has been based on three main areas of evidence. These are the Mid and West Wales Equality Survey 2019; the Equality and Human Rights Commission’s ‘Is Wales Fairer 2018?’; and Our existing Strategic Equality Plan 2016-20.

The consultation is open until 29 January 2020. The survey and supporting documents can be found on the Council’s website: www.ceredigion.gov.uk/consultations/ Hard copies are available in Council Libraries across the county.

The plan was approved for consultation by the council’s Cabinet on 17 December 2019.

The final version of ‘A Fair and Equal Ceredigion 2020-24’ will be published on the council’s website at the end of March 2020.
