A special evening to remember the remarkable work Wales' most well-known children's authors, T.Llew Jones, is to be held at Aberystwyth Library at 07:30pm on Wednesday, 10 October.

The free remembrance evening will include a talk by guest speaker, Chief poet Ceri Wyn Jones and a multi-media performance by Cwmni Actorion (Actors’ Company) Theatr Felinfach. The performance will follow a character called Marged and her journey into the magical life of T.Llew Jones.

Before becoming a full-time writer - T Llew Jones, who died in 2009 - was a primary school teacher in Ceredigion for 35 years. He published over 50 books for adults and children. Some were adapted for television and shown all over the world.

Councillor Ray Quant MBE, Cabinet Member for Library services said, “Each year, many schools across the county celebrate T.Llew Jones day on 11 October, with many a swashbuckling pirate to be seen enjoying the tales of the colourful characters who appear in his novels. The remembrance evening on 10 October will be a great opportunity for the residents of Ceredigion to reflect and celebrate the great work of T.Llew Jones.”
