As part of its annual campaign to reduce crime levels within the county, the Ceredigion Community Safety Partnership is inviting residents to attend a public meeting of the Full Partnership and Strategy Group.

The meeting will be held on Thursday 15 November, 2018 at 2pm in the Council Chamber, Penmorfa, Aberaeron. It will provide the public with a progress review of Community Safety in Ceredigion. The review will cover topics including Local Crime Reduction Targets and progress in relation to recommendations outlined in the 2018/19 Strategic Assessment.

In addition, the group maintains a strategic overview on matters affecting community safety within Ceredigion and monitors the performance and delivery of interventions. It also gives guidance and direction when responding to issues that are giving, or have given, concern.

Sue Darnbrook, Corporate Director at Ceredigion County Council and Chair of the Ceredigion Community Safety Partnership stated, “These meetings are an excellent opportunity for residents to gain a full appreciation of the true picture of crime and disorder within the county. The Ceredigion Community Safety Partnership are proud of their achievements to date in terms of reducing crime and disorder, but are not complacent. They continue to carefully monitor progress, trends and developments to not only maintain but, wherever possible, to improve community safety within the county.”

Topics discussed at the meeting will also assist the group to put forward local priorities in connection with the Police and Crime Plan.

The Full Partnership and Strategy Group is made up of the following organisations: Ceredigion County Council, Dyfed Powys Police, Hywel Dda University Health Board, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service and the Community Rehabilitation Company and Dyfed Powys Area Planning Board for Substance Misuse.
