Congratulations have been given to all Ceredigion Welsh Learners on their success in stage, literature and arts and crafts competitions at the Learners' Eisteddfod in Brecon recently
Ceredigion Singing party was awarded the first prize for the Singing Party competition with Meryl Evans, Community Education Manager: Head of Learning Welsh conducting and Gwyneth Davies, Welsh Tutor accompanying. The group were also awarded first prize for their fun-loving Caribbean holiday song.
Councillor Catrin Miles, Cabinet member for Learning Services and Lifelong Learning said, “On behalf of Ceredigion County Council, I’d like to congratulate all the Welsh Learners from Ceredigion for their tremendous effort and determination, not only to make the first step in learning Welsh, but to compete in the Learners' Eisteddfod. I’m sure these successes will help the learners further develop their confidence and enjoyment in using the language. Thank you to all the tutors for encouraging and supporting the learners to compete at this cultural event.”
