A new five year ICT and Digital Strategy covering a range of future facing opportunities and challenges for Ceredigion County Council has been approved.

The Cabinet approved the Strategy in a meeting on 27 March 2018. The Strategy covers areas such as digital transactions, which is the extent to which citizens can request services from the Council’s website, as well as digital inclusion, which ensures citizens and businesses can access digital services. It also addresses smart data which collects the right data in an accessible way and makes informed decisions with it.

The Cabinet Member responsible for ICT, Councillor Dafydd Edwards said, “Many Council services are changing so that they can easily be accessed online. The digital age provides opportunities and challenges for the Council, and the renewed ICT and Digital Strategy allows us to confidently manage our ICT services.”

The proposal will future proof the delivery of services in Ceredigion as the use of new technology enables residents to use any platform they wish to communicate with the Council.
