Ceredigion County Council has called on the Home Office to withdraw the need for EU nationals who live in the UK to apply for settled status. The council unanimously passed the motion in a meeting on 23 January 2019.

The motion reads, “Ceredigion County Council calls on the Home Office to withdraw the need to apply for settled status for all those who are EU nationals currently residing in the UK and up to the date of departure from the EU.”

The motion was proposed by Councillor Elizabeth Evans and was seconded by Councillor Alun Williams.
