In light of the quickly changing situation of the Coronavirus, the following will apply regarding the waste service.
1. As of close on Sunday 22 March 2020 the following Household Waste Sites, operated on behalf of Ceredigion County Council, will close until further notice:
- Aberystwyth
Glanyrafon Industrial Estate, Llanbadarn Fawr, Aberystwyth. SY23 3JQ - Cardigan
Cilmaenllwyd, Penparc, Cardigan. SA43 1RB - Lampeter
Industrial Estate, Tregaron Road, Lampeter. SA48 8LT - Llanarth
Rhydeinon, Llanarth. SA47 0QP
2. As of close on Friday 20 March 2020 all Bulky Household Waste and Garden Waste collection services will be suspended until further notice.
3. As of close on Friday 20 March 2020 the Council will not be accepting new requests for glass boxes or food caddies until further notice.
4. The Council will continue in the efforts to provide core waste collection services as advertised.
- Priority will be given to residual (black bag), food and Absorbent Hygiene Product (AHP) collections.
- If it is not possible to provide collections as advertised, please take your waste back in and await further information.
5. Please help us to protect our waste collection staff by taking the following steps:
- Placing all personal waste (such as used tissues) and disposable cleaning cloths in your black bag and tying the bag.
- Double bagging all waste at this time.
6. It is intended to deliver stocks of clear recycling bags and food caddy liners to locations in the community including:

for the public to replenish their stocks. These will be placed within clearly marked wheely bins at these sites.
PLEASE USE THESE SPARINGLY AND TAKE ONLY WHAT YOU NEED! The Council will be looking to replenish stocks if, as and when it is possible.
The stocks will be in place by the end of the week commencing 23 March 2020.
