All, I can assure the people of Ceredigion that Ceredigion County Council’s COVID-19 Gold Command Group has been established and is doing essential work to prepare the county to cope with Coronavirus.

The Council has a duty of care to its employees, to all who may come into contact with our work and to you the people of Ceredigion. Staff are being kept informed of the situation as it develops. In turn, these members of staff contact the relevant service users to ensure they are aware of the changes.

The Council is working closely with Public Health Wales and Welsh Government, and will be led by them on any guidance regarding the Coronavirus. Should Public Health Wales’ advice change, the Council will follow the advice and act accordingly.

There is no doubt that Coronavirus will have an effect on us all in one way or another. You should ensure that you check Public Health Wales’ advice daily and if you develop any symptoms then please self-isolate for 14 days.

It is great to see the community spirit of Ceredigion coming to the fore already. Many local groups are being set up to ensure that those who have to self-isolate have the help that they need to access food and essential medication. Many thanks to them all.

Keep safe and remember that you can contact us through Clic, on the website, by email clic@ceredigion.gov.uk or on the phone 01545 570881.

All the latest in Ceredigion is available on the Council’s Coronavirus page.

All the latest information and advice is available via the Public Health Wales website.
