The ongoing Coronavirus situation is developing daily.

The following areas are closed.

  • Ceredigion Museum.
  • Theatr Felinfach.
  • Ceredigion Archives.
  • Cered, Welsh language initiative.
  • Tourist Information Centres.
  • Leisure Centres.

The following will close at the end of the day tomorrow, 20 March.

  • Council offices to the public.
  • Cash Offices. Payments such as Council tax can be made by phone 01545 570881 or online ceredigion.gov.uk.
  • There will be no fines for late books to Ceredigion libraries for three months.

Aberystwyth Farmers Market will be open this Saturday for the last time until further notice. 

Work is developing on implementing the business rates reliefs being announced by Welsh Government.

Service areas are beginning to think of creative ways to use the internet to offer a range of services remotely and electronically.

Plans are in place for next week.

  • Staff are advised to stay at home and continue to work wherever possible. Only designated key skeleton staff will be in work.
  • Five specific centres will open on Monday 23 March to offer childcare provision for Key workers from Care Homes, Dom Care, Blue light services and NHS staff. 
  • Live streaming of NERS classes will be available through the website from early next week.
