A public consultation is being held over home dog breeder licence conditions in Ceredigion, offering individuals the opportunity to provide feedback on the home breeding conditions licence set by Ceredigion County Council.

The Cabinet Member with responsibility for Public Protection Services, Councillor Gareth Lloyd said, “Animal welfare is very important in Ceredigion; be that for agricultural purposes or as family pets. This consultation is an opportunity to build on the Council’s existing dog breeding licencing conditions.”

A report from the consultation will be considered by the Licensing Committee when it is proposed new standard conditions will be approved. If adopted, the new conditions would come into force with immediate effect.

Information about the home dog breeder licence conditions can be found on the Council’s website on https://www.ceredigion.gov.uk/consultations. Responses to the consultation can be sent to licensing@ceredigion.gov.uk.

Alternatively, paper copies of the consultation are available at Council offices and libraries in Ceredigion. These copies can be returned by post to The Licencing Team, Policy and Performance, Neuadd Cyngor Ceredigion, Penmorfa, Aberaeron, SA46 0PA .
