Ceredigion secondary schools have gone above and beyond to produce more than 2,800 visors in response to the coronavirus crisis.

Each Design and Technology department in every secondary school across the county have been involved in this process, including Ysgol Henry Richard, Ysgol Penglais, Ysgol Penweddig, Ysgol Uwchradd Aberaeron, Ysgol Bro Pedr, Ysgol Uwchradd Aberteifi and Ysgol Bro Teifi.

Over the course of a few weeks, teachers in these departments have created plastic visors using the school's laser cutters or 3D printers, with Ceredigion County Council providing the materials.

Theses visors are necessary to protect frontline workers in Ceredigion, and the teacher’s willingness to offer practical support in these challenging times is commendable.

Meinir Ebbsworth, Ceredigion County Council's Corporate Lead Officer Schools and Culture, said: "We are extremely proud of our workforce, and the incredible dedication shown by staff in our Design and Technology departments to provide the necessary visors is just one example of how Ceredigion's teachers have gone above and beyond to help others.”
