As part of Youth Work Week 2018 celebrations, Ceredigion Youth Service (CYS) hosted an open evening at Cardigan Youth Centre.

Cardigan Youth Centre opened its doors to families, partners and local residents on Wednesday, 27 June 2018. The open evening was an opportunity to take a look around the centre, meet the youth workers and enjoy some light refreshments, kindly provided by Crwst, The Queens Bakery and Cardigan Aldi.

Councillor Catrin Miles, Cabinet Member with responsibility for Learning Services said, “Cardigan Youth Centre plays a vital role in providing opportunities for children and young people locally, therefore it was wonderful to have the opportunity to look around the Youth Centre and to be a part of Ceredigion’s Youth Work Week celebrations. The garden area at the centre has recently received a new lease of life through funding received from the North and Mid Wales Reaching Wider Partnership, providing opportunities for young people to create a new picnic bench and some colourful art boards. It was nice to see that the centre boasts a space for the whole community to enjoy.”
