Ceredigion’s public rights of way are looking for contractors to manage and maintain the paths for all to enjoy.

Managing and maintaining Ceredigion’s network of public rights of way relies in part on a team of external contractors. Ceredigion County Council are currently re-establishing the framework for this type of work.

The Council are looking for experienced and qualified contractors with a range of skills and expertise to take on tasks to maintain the paths. The tasks include undertaking path surfacing/drainage, erect bridges, install gates/steps/stiles/fencing, manage vegetation and more.

Councillor Rhodri Evans, Cabinet Member for Economy and Regeneration said, “Public rights of way is how Ceredigion’s residents and visitors access and enjoy the county’s beautiful countryside. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a Team ensuring the paths are safe and enjoyable for our walkers.”

Market engagement events will be held on 22 July and 18 August at 7pm. These are remote events being held on Microsoft Teams where interested parties can learn more about the work and requirements on how to be included on the framework. Email Ymholiadau.Caffael@ceredigion.gov.uk to register an interest in attending one of the events.
