This Autumn, Dysgu Bro are pleased to introduce new courses, as well as returning favourites, for the adult learners of Ceredigion.

Dysgu Bro will be offering a wide range of courses, such as yoga, basic upholstery, textiles (including batik, tie and dye and silk painting), candle making, creative writing, social media, the use of iPads/tablets/mobile phones, computers for the terrified, creative media, exploring digital photography, website design and desk-top publishing.

One learner that attended a class last year said, “I feel more confident in using modern technology - and having the opportunity to learn with other people who have similar interests.” An older learner said, “The course has helped me see that age does not stop anyone. Whatever skills you want to develop - it's worth it, at whatever your age.”

Once again, due to popular demand, Hyfforddiant Ceredigion Training and Dysgu Bro will run a wide range of 5-week evening courses in blacksmithing, welding, plumbing, carpentry, hairdressing, beauty, basic upholstery, creative writing and digital photography. The courses will enable learners to develop new skills in their chosen areas.

Ceredigion County Council’s Corporate Lead Officer for Lifelong Learning and Culture, Elen James said, “It’s pleasing to see such a wide range of courses on offer to the adult learners and citizens of Ceredigion. The courses will provide the learners with new skills, which will not only benefit their day to day lives and promote their learning and development, but which will also enable them to enjoy themselves, to keep active and develop new friendships”.

Councillor Catrin Miles, Ceredigion County Council’s Cabinet Member responsible for Lifelong Learning and Culture said, “This is the perfect time to start thinking about developing skills and interests. Dysgu Bro and Hyfforddiant Ceredigion Training provide a range of courses for everyone. Learn something new this year.”
