Adoption Mid and West Wales is seeking prospective adopters to an Information Evening from 6.30 - 8pm on Thursday 17 October at Yr Atom, 18 King St, Carmarthen SA31 1BN.

There will be adoption staff and an experienced adopter (Sue), to share information about adoption and answer questions.

Sue says: ''We've not regretted adopting Charlie for a moment since he came to us over two years ago. The process was fine; it is fairly lengthy and very thorough - all necessary to make sure the right families are created.

“Adoption Mid and West Wales are a busy, professional team, who aim to have you assessed and trained and ready for what life may throw at you. Take every opportunity you can for training because when a child lands on your doorstep you become a little busier!

So far we've found our biggest challenges have been parenting ones, not those of being adopters. Would we do it again? Yes, bring it on! I don't give two hoots about sharing DNA, its all about sharing our lives."
