On Thursday 04 August, a ceremony was held to celebrate the achievements of Camu ‘Mlaen students.

Camu 'Mlaen Ceredigion is an innovative new project and initiative led by Ceredigion County Council in partnership with Coleg Ceredigion and Careers Wales.

Councillor Alun Williams, Ceredigion County Council Cabinet Member for Through Age and Wellbeing. He said: “This is a fantastic achievement for all our Camu Mlaen students. The project has been such a success for the last two years. We look forwad to developing Camu’ Mlaen further by offering more opportunities for our young people with additional learning needs here in Ceredigion. Congratulations to all involved.”

This initiative gives young people, post-16 with additional learning needs the opportunity to stay and continue their education within Ceredigion and to develop key skills as they prepare for their next stage in life.

One of the main aims of the initiative is to enable Ceredigion’s young people to keep in touch with developing their skills locally.
