The Statement of Accounts for Ceredigion County Council has been approved following a report by Audit Wales.

The Council’s accounts are annually reviewed by Audit Wales to ensure that they are true and fair. This year’s report shows a positive performance of the Council’s financial management.

During a Council meeting held virtually on 25 November 2021, Ceredigion Councillors approved the Council’s Statement of Accounts and the Ceredigion Harbour Authority Statement of Accounts for 2020-2021.

Councillor Gareth Lloyd, Cabinet Member responsible for Finance, said: “Again, this year, the Council’s Statement of Accounts show good financial management and I wish to thank the staff, Auditors and Audit Committee for their hard work. This year’s Statement of Accounts includes many references to COVID-19 with a summary of COVID-19 funding for the Council and the funding towards Agency expenditure which includes the Business Grant Payments. I am very proud of the work achieved in processing these payments to help the local economy in such challenging times.”
