All HMO's whether licenced or not are required to meet certain standards. Many of these are laid out in legislation and regulation whilst others are necessary to ensure the property contains minimal risks to the occupiers.
Ceredigion County Council have developed an Accommodation Standards Guide for HMO's to assist landlords and managers to ensure compliance. The guide is available under the downloads section.
In addition to this guidance it may be useful to note 'The Ideal Property' guide which gives an indication of the things an officer will look out for when conducting a HHSRS inspection.
