Ceredigion Public Services Board

 

 

The Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 gives a legally-binding common purpose of seven Well-being goals and five ways of working (below) designed to support and deliver a public service that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

The Act also puts a Well-being duty on specified public bodies to act jointly and establish statutory Public Services Boards (PSBs) for each local authority area in Wales. Each PSB must improve the economic, social, environmental and cultural Well-being of its area by contributing to the achievement of the Well-being goals.
The PSB’s main tasks will be:
·         To prepare and publish an assessment of the state of economic, social, environmental and cultural well-being in Ceredigion
·         To prepare and publish a Local Well-being Plan for Ceredigion setting out local objectives and the steps it proposes to take to meet them
·         To take all reasonable steps to meet the local objectives they have set
·         To prepare and publish an annual report that sets out the Board’s progress in meeting the local objectives

The PSB will hold 5 meetings annually and will continue to deliver and report annually on its Single Integrated Plan (SIP) ‘Ceredigion for All 2013-2017’.
Ceredigion also has a PSB Advisory Group which as well as being a link to the PSB and its Executive Groups assists the PSB by making recommendations and offering advice. The Ceredigion PSB has retained the below 5 Executive Groups under its leadership and to assist in the delivery of its SIP ‘Ceredigion for All 2013-2017’.
